The Irvine Unified School District is home to a vibrant community of the arts. Thousands of students district-wide participate in an array of visual and performing arts through orchestra, band, choir, general music, drama, dance, painting, and others forms of artistic expression. IUSD is unique in that it provides a comprehensive music education for all students K-6 as part of a complete academic curriculum.
Upper grade music is full of opportunities for all students!
Beginning in 4th grade, students may choose how to learn music; through their voice, or a string instrument! Music classes are a year-long course of study including; two forty-minute music lessons per week, two performances for friends & family, and many other wonderful opportunities along the way.
